What's New in V2
Core Gangs V2 is a massive overhaul — new systems, reworked mechanics, and a brand new UI. Here's everything that changed.
Brand New UI
The entire interface has been rebuilt from scratch. Cleaner, faster, and easier to navigate.
Zone Editor
Visual Zone Creator
Create and configure zones directly on the map with /zoneeditor. Freecam mode lets you place zones, set types, and configure storages without touching config files.
No more guessing zone IDs and editing config — fly around the map and build your territory layout visually. Zones are saved to the database automatically.
Minimap Zone Display
Zones now appear on your minimap in real-time as you move through them, color-coded so you always know whose territory you're in:
Green
Your gang's zone. Safe territory — you're home.
Red
Enemy zone. You're on someone else's turf — watch your back.
Gray
Unowned zone. Neutral territory — up for grabs.
Field Zones
Plant Growth & Harvesting
A new zone type where plants grow through 3 stages. Gang members get full yield + 1.5x bonus. Non-members only get 40% — the gang keeps 60% and gets a location ping on the thief.
Consume drugs before harvesting for boosted yields — oxy gives 1.8x, the best for field work. See Zones — Field Zones for details.
Organization Roles & Permissions
Custom Role System
Create custom roles for your organization, assign granular permissions to each role, and assign members to roles. Full control over who can do what.
Leaders can create as many roles as they need — set which roles can invite, kick, promote, start wars, manage zones, or place bounties. Assign members to roles through the UI.
Invite Code System
Join via Code
Generate a one-time invite code that anyone can use to join your organization. Codes expire after 5 minutes — share it fast.
Two ways to invite now:
- Direct invite — select a criminal from the UI and invite them directly
- Invite code — generate a code, share it with someone, they enter it to join. Code expires in 5 minutes so it can't be passed around
Gang Controls
Full Interaction System
Zip-tie, escort, carry, trunk, hostage, rope pull, search/rob, and tackle — all through the target system with command fallbacks. Server-authoritative with anti-cheat.
10 new player interactions, all working through ox_target / qb-target. Rope pull even works behind vehicles with road burn damage. See Controls for the full breakdown.
NPC Drug Selling
Street-Level Selling
Walk up to any ambient ped and sell them drugs. Dynamic pricing based on zone ownership, heat system, street reputation, undercover cops, and gang territory pings.
A full street economy with risk and reward. Sell in your own zone for the best prices and build rep, or risk selling in enemy territory and get pinged. See Drug Selling.
Heat System
Every drug sale generates heat in the zone. Heat builds up and decays over 30 minutes. The hotter a zone gets:
- Higher undercover cop chance — at max heat, 3x the base rate
- More police dispatch alerts on failed haggles
- Increased risk across the board
Cool down by moving to a different zone or waiting it out.
Drug Consumables
Use Your Own Supply
Consume drugs for real gameplay advantages — speed boosts, infinite stamina, health regen, sell price multipliers, and field yield bonuses. Each drug has unique effects and trade-offs.
7 consumable drugs, each with unique animations (smoking, snorting, pill, injection), visual screen effects, and gameplay boosts. Crack gives 1.5x sell price, ecstasy makes haggling easy, oxy nearly doubles field harvests. See Consumables.
Street Reputation
A new per-zone reputation system for owned territories:
- Build rep by selling in your zones (+3 per sale)
- Rep decays if you stop selling (-5 per real hour)
- Max rep gives +50% sell price and +10% acceptance rate
- Incentivizes gangs to actively work their territory
Criminal Titles — 8 Tiers
The criminal progression system has been expanded to 8 tiers, tracking 10 different stats:
| Tier | Title |
|---|---|
| 1 | Pickpocket |
| 2 | Thug |
| 3 | Bandit |
| 4 | Enforcer |
| 5 | Hitman |
| 6 | The Don |
| 7 | Kingpin |
| 8 | Baba Yaga |
Stats tracked: kills, headshots, captured, bounties, wars won, robberies, NPCs killed, plants picked, drugs used, drugs sold.
Bounty System Overhaul
The bounty system has been completely reworked:
- Multiple bounties — any number of players can set a bounty on the same target. Bounties stack.
- Live tracking — hunters can see the bounty target's location on the map in real-time
- Two-way awareness — the hunted player can see who is hunting them on their map too, creating tense cat-and-mouse gameplay
- Bounties still support character kill (
IsBountyCK), stat wipe, and inventory wipe as consequences
Continental Shop — Currency Converter
Continental safe zones now include a currency converter with limited supply:
- Convert special currency (bitcoin) to cash or vice versa
- Limited stock that resets periodically — first come, first served
- Creates a reason for gangs to visit continental zones beyond just shopping
Smarter NPC Guards
Zone NPC guards have been completely reworked with realistic behavior:
- Break animations — guards take breaks, lean against walls, smoke, and idle naturally instead of standing still like statues
- Minimap blips — guards show up on your minimap when you're in your own zone so you can keep track of them
- Dynamic ped ownership — if you move far away, other nearby players automatically take control of the NPC so it never gets stuck or frozen. No more braindead guards standing in place
- Better combat AI and positioning
- Configurable weapon loadouts and models
- Guards can be set to only attack during active wars or defend at all times
- NPCs revert to neutral after a zone is captured
- Guards stop fighting when a war ends
Zone Editor Templates
Pre-built zone templates make setup faster:
| Template | Type |
|---|---|
| Weed Farm | Generation (60s) |
| Oxy Lab | Generation (90s) |
| Meth Lab | Generation (120s) |
| XTC Lab | Generation (100s) |
| Cocaine Processing | Processing |
| Crack Processing | Processing |
| Drug Sales Point | Sales |
Select a template in the zone editor and it pre-fills all the items, timers, and settings.
