Common issues you might run into when installing or running C8RE scripts.

Escrow & Asset Errors

All C8RE scripts use the FiveM asset escrow system — your purchased scripts are tied to your Cfx.re (FiveM) account.

What you see:

[script:core_*] Error parsing script @core_.../server/main.lua: syntax error near '<\1>'
[c-scripting-core] Failed to load script server/main.lua.

Why this happens:

The script files got corrupted during transfer to your server.

How to fix it:

• Don't use FileZilla — it's known to corrupt escrow-protected files. Use WinSCP instead
• Upload the .zip file directly to your VPS, then extract it there. Don't drag individual files over FTP
• Check your server version — C8RE scripts require FiveM artifacts build 4752+. Download the latest from FiveM Artifacts

What you see:

[svadhesive] Failed to verify protected resource core_inventory

How to fix it:

• Restart your server — a full restart (not just ensure) usually resolves this
• Re-upload the script as a .zip and extract on the server — don't transfer files individually
• Check for the .fxap file — if it's missing from the script folder, redownload from your Tebex account
• Don't use FileZilla — switch to WinSCP to avoid file corruption

What you see:

You lack the required entitlement to use core_inventory

What this means:

Your server's license key doesn't match the Cfx.re account that purchased the script. FiveM escrow locks scripts to the account used on Tebex.

How to fix it:

1. Go to FiveM Keymaster
2. Log in with the same Cfx.re account you used to purchase on Tebex
3. Generate a new server key (or use an existing one from that account)
4. Add it to your server.cfg:

sv_licenseKey "your_key_here"

Bought it on a different account?

You can transfer the asset once via FiveM Keymaster → Purchased Assets → Transfer to another account.

WARNING

Cfx.re only allows one transfer per asset — once transferred, it cannot be moved again.

What you see:

The script doesn't load but there are no errors in the console.

Common causes:

• Missing dependency — make sure oxmysql (or mysql-async) starts before your C8RE scripts
• Wrong resource name — the folder must match the expected name (e.g. core_inventory, not core_inventory-main)
• Not in server.cfg — add ensure core_inventory (or whichever script) after your framework
• Ensure order matters — framework first, then database, then C8RE scripts:

ensure oxmysql
ensure qb-core
ensure core_inventory
ensure core_business

What you see:

[ERROR] [core_*] MySQL error: Table 'database.tablename' doesn't exist

How to fix it:

• Run the SQL file — each C8RE script includes a .sql file. Import it through HeidiSQL, phpMyAdmin, or your database tool
• Check your database connection — make sure oxmysql is configured correctly in server.cfg
• Some scripts have EnableDatabaseAutoCreation in config — set it to true for automatic table creation
